Invitation to participate in the Nigerian Cultural Centre UK
January 6, 2018
I write to invite you to be part of the Nigerian Cultural Centre UK.
With more than 2 million Nigerians in the UK, there are no medium-to-big centres dedicated to the Nigerian community. There are however small, local hotspots for the community, such as Nigerian restaurants and other Nigerian focused establishments addressing local demand. While the local Nigerian establishment market is well addressed, the market for venues and dedicated working and exhibition spaces for Nigerians is not. Fulfilling this gap creates an easy access to 2 million Nigerians living in the UK. The access to the diaspora community a centre such as this can have, is to be used as a vehicle to promote the Nigerian culture, as well as to financially sustain the centre and generate profit for the stake-holders of the Nigerian Cultural Centre.
The proposed Nigerian Cultural Centre will be a multi-purpose community facility situated in the heart of London.
Next Step A Special Purpose Vehicle is to be incorporated for the purpose of this project. The project is to be crowd-funded, the minimal capital commitment is £1,000 and funders are to receive equity in exchange for their contributions. The stakeholders are to elect a committee that in turn will make the hiring and operational decisions of the managers and operators of the Nigerian Cultural Centre. Benefits to champions would include listing on plaque in a Hall of Fame and Discount on future usage of the facilities. As a notable member of the community, we invite you to support this effort at nation building by subscribing to this initiative.
Posterity will judge us right for having bequeathed a perfect legacy to this generation and generations yet unborn.
We are proposing a meeting to move this forward in March 2018. Please find attached two strategy documents for your information and attention.
I will appreciate your feedback on the strategy documents and how we can progress this forward.
While looking forward to hearing from you, please accept the assurance of my highest consideration.
